A Free Sunday Afternoon And Beautiful Weather !!

Our family had a rare treat this weekend, a free Sunday afternoon and beautiful weather.  We packed up the kids and headed out to the Kansas City Zoo to check out the new polar bear exhibit.  As luck would have it, we arrived just in time for the afternoon Polar Bear feeding.

  

After the feeding we headed into the Africa area where visitors can take boat rides through the "country side".  A quick walk down to the dock allowed us to see the twin 9.9 Mercury motors US Boatworks sold to the zoo a few years back.  They look to be in good shape.  It would have been nice to take a ride through "Africa" but the lagoon was closed.  I'm sure those Mercs will do well for years to come.
